Sunset Kayaking

Content Image

Sunset kayaking is a special opportunity to explore the unspoiled creeks of Bald Head Island on a guided kayaking trip while the sun sets over the marsh. These trips offer a one-of-a-kind perspective of the island and great views of wildlife.

Double kayaks are used and participants should be 16+ to participate. Each child under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

This program does NOT meet at Bald Head Island Conservancy. Please meet at the Village Creek Access on Federal Road, near Old Baldy. All gear including PFDs, paddles, and kayaks will be provided. Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, and clothes that can get muddy and slightly damp.

Kayak trips are rated as moderate to moderately difficult due to sun, tides and wind on the marsh. Conditions may vary depending on the day. Trips are tide and weather dependent (and will not run in storms or high wind >15 mph).
