In 2023, BHIC’s Giving Tuesday efforts fueled critical wildlife work: advancing our wildlife rehabilitation program and equipping the Sea Turtle Protection Team with a new UTV to patrol and protect nests across the island.
In 2024, BHIC focused our Giving Tuesday efforts on important campus improvements, including replacing siding and windows on our dormitory and adding a retaining wall to protect an encroaching dune, enhancing the quality of life for everyone who lives and works on campus.
Giving Tuesday isn’t just about donations, it’s about community, connection, and celebrating the causes you love! Over the past two years, supporters from 13 different states have joined us, including our farthest gift all the way from San Antonio, TX. Your generosity has helped us share BHIC’s mission with thousands of people online, and inspiring others to care for Bald Head Island.
