Consider Giving to our 2024 Annual Fund

As we near the end of the year, Bald Head Island Conservancy asks our friends and members to consider giving a donation to our 2024 Annual Fund. Our community plays such an important role in helping us pursue our mission on Bald Head Island, and we are touched by the generous support we receive from our fellow islanders year after year.

This year, a priority for the Annual Fund is to generate enough revenue for infrastructure improvements required for a healthy and safe campus for our interns and guests. With your support, we will be able to address major campus renovation needs. These include the replacement of the crumbling retention wall behind the Fleming Education Building and replacing the dilapidated siding and broken windows on our dormitory. By assuring the structural integrity of our campus, the entire BHIC team of staff and interns will be able to better focus on the many important conservation and education activities we are pursuing.

Thanks to our generous donors during last year’s Annual Fund, we were able to purchase a new UTV for our Sea Turtle Protection Team, which proved to be a great asset during nightly patrols and sea turtle conservation efforts this past summer. We hope you will consider giving to our 2024 Annual Fund to help us improve our campus and support our dedicated interns!
