Meet Our Fall 2025 Interns!

Fall has arrived at Bald Head Island, and so have the BHI Conservancy fall interns! 
Let’s get to know the friendly faces who will be monitoring wildlife, assisting with conservation projects, leading educational programs, and helping keep the island’s natural beauty thriving this season:

Where are you from? Charlotte, NC
Where do you/did you attend school? Graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Wildlife Biology.
Fun Facts: I have traveled to 30 of the 50 U.S. states, mostly to visit National Parks. I have a pet tree frog who is almost 20 years old!
Hobbies: In my free time, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, spending time outside, and learning new things.
Why did you want to be a BHIC Intern? I chose to be an intern at BHIC because of the chance to contribute to meaningful, hands-on conservation and learn practical experience from an organization known for its impact and dedication.

Where are you from? Surf City, NC
Where do you/did you attend school? Graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in May 2025 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies
Fun Facts: I have played cello for over 11 years!
Hobbies: I enjoy baking and music.
Why did you want to be a BHIC Intern? I was drawn to the variety of projects I get to work on with the conservation team because it allows me to gain more hands-on experience in different areas of environmental work.

Where are you from? Yardley, PA
Where do you/did you attend school? I graduated from the University of Tampa in December of 2024 with a B.S. in Marine Science-Biology
Fun Facts: I’m a third degree black belt in TaeKwonDo. I’m currently writing a novel for fun
Hobbies: I love reading, skiing, and scuba diving
Why did you want to be a BHIC Intern? I love field work and look forward to working in the unique ecosystems on Bald Head Island

Where are you from? Cary, NC
Where do you/did you attend school? University of North Carolina Wilmington
Fun Facts: I have played violin for half my life
Hobbies: Spending time with my friends and family, enjoying local nature, and listening to and playing music
Why did you want to be a BHIC Intern? I wanted to gain new skills in environmental science and monitoring while being able to learn about and enjoy Bald Head Island’s unique ecology.
