#GivingTuesday is a global movement of radical generosity. It’s a day to celebrate generosity by doing good, collaborating with others, and giving back. It takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year, it falls on November 29.
BHIC #GivingTuesday 2022: A Clean Ocean
Our goal is to continue working towards keeping our beaches and oceans clean, an important step in continuing the conservation of the sea turtles and shore birds of Bald Head Island.
How we’re giving back
Our team is spending the day out on the island giving back by picking up trash. Join the movement- take a moment to pick up trash outside and tag us in your photos!
Our Goal: $10,000
We are raising money to build an outdoor field station on our campus. This will be a multi-functional space to be used for rinsing off and drying samples from field work, washing off mud and sand before entering the office, and providing storage space for field work supplies. This new space will allow us to have a more efficient and clean process for many of our field projects and programs.
Double your impact! An anonymous donor is matching up to $9,500 of donations.
All donations up to $149 will receive a 20% off code at Turtle Central
Donations over $150 will receive our Simply Southern Ultra Soft Pullover Hoodie Poncho Wearable Blanket T-Shirt
All in-person donations at Fleming or Turtle Central will receive a Sea Turtle Starter Pack
Everyone who donates will be entered into a drawing to win a Turtle Central Holiday gift basket!
Help us make our mission possible through donation. Your donation will allow us to continue our work on Bald Head Island to promote a clean ocean through conservation field work and research. We cannot do it without you.
