Back for a Third Summer!
Lend a flipper during hatchling season by joining the Bald Head Island Conservancy’s Lemonade Standoff, a family-friendly fundraiser with plenty of zest! Money raised through this event goes directly to our Sea Turtle Protection Program, helping us protect nesting sea turtles and hatchlings all season long.
Your Commitment
- Register and operate your stand any time between August 1-14, 2026
- At least one entrepreneur running the stand is 14 years or younger
- Donate all proceeds to the BHI Conservancy Sea Turtle Protection Program
- HAVE FUN!

- Invitation to the Lemonade Standoff Celebration with refreshments and prize packs at the BHI Conservancy campus.
- Your family name included on a 2027 Lemonade Standoff Adopt-a-Nest, alongside all participating families.
How to Host a Lemonade Stand

- Plan your stand! Think about what you’d like to sell alongside lemonade: popsicles and homemade desserts are always a hit. Consider adding a fun theme, like decorating your stand with sea turtles, beach vibes, or bright summer colors. You can even ask family and friends to sponsor your stand with extra donations to boost your impact.
- Gather your supplies: cups, ingredients, ice, cooler, donation jar, etc.
- Create your signs and social posts — use our media kit plus your own flair to spread the word.
- SELL, SELL, SELL — and have a blast doing it!
